ASTM International and Committee D37 on Cannabis are in the process of organizing an Interlaboratory Study (ILS) 1829. We are currently looking for laboratories able to perform D8375 - Test Method for Determination of Cannabinoid Concentration in Dried Cannabis and Hemp Raw Materials using Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
- Participating laboratories must be located in Canada
- Membership in ASTM International is not a requirement for participation.
- Involvement in this study will have a direct impact on the Standard, utilized by laboratories worldwide.
- Participating laboratories will be listed in the resulting ASTM Research Report.
- Participants
will receive a complimentary copy of the finished Research Report, which
will include coded data that cannot be identified to specific labs.
- The study will involve testing 4 samples each of dried cannabis or hemp for Δ9-THC
concentration, THCA concentration, CBD concentration, CBDA
concentration, CBG concentration, CBGA concentration, CBGV
concentration, CBGVA concentration, CBN concentration, CBNA
concentration, CBV concentration, CBC concentration, CBCA concentration,
THCV concentration, THCVA concentration, CBDV concentration, CBDVA
concentration, CBL concentration, CBLA concentration, and Δ8-THC concentration.
- 3 replicates of each material will be analyzed to determine intralaboratory repeatability.
- Enough of all required test specimens will be supplied to the participating laboratories free of charge. Two packets will be supplied: One for method familiarization and one for reported values.
